Membership of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants

http://www.csic.ca/

In the June 2002, the Canadian government introduced new immigration rules. One of these rules related to representation, stipulating that it was now mandatory for all immigration consultants to be registered with the recently formed Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC). Only registered members of the Society are permitted to represent fee paying clients at the Canadian Immigration Ministry (CIC) either in Canada or at their various embassy and high commission locations abroad, and for this reason CSIC members are allocated an ID number for identication purposes.

Essentially, if an immigration consultant who is not a member of CSIC lodges an immigration application for an applicant, the applicant will find that the application will be returned unprocessed.

You should exercise great care before nominating someone as your fee-earning consultant, ensuring that he/she can provide proof that they are a fully registered member of CSIC.

Please note that the following person working for Commonwealth Immigration & Jobsearch Limited is a fully registered member of CSIC:

Mr Alan Nutbrown - CSIC ID Number: MO41171
